The Orient Express – Northern Belle Charity Dinner

On the 8th October 2010, the Orient Express invited „When You Wish Upon A Star? to join them on their legendary train „The Northern Belle? for a fun filled evening and what an evening it was!

For one night only, the Orient Express invited members of the public to join their fabulous train and help them to make "Wishes come true" for a very special Charity.

An evening of fine dining began, with a champagne reception on Manchester Piccadilly station, just before the train rolled in and as we boarded our coach, it was a far cry from Murder on the Orient Express, as we were welcomed with cocktails before taking our seats for the start of the trip.

All the profits from the sale of the tickets were donated back to When You Wish Upon A Star by the Orient Express.

The cuisine was spectacular, including a sumptuous 5 course dinner, served with fine wines and classic Bellini cocktails.

The entertainment included a stunning young Opera singer Carly Hopkinson, who sang showstoppers in the different carriages for all the travellers. There were celebrities from Coronation Street mingling with the guests and they were happy to have their photographs taken with several of their fellow passengers.

The Orient Express raised over £10,000 for "When You Wish Upon A Star" and gave everyone lucky enough to have a seat on the train "a once in a lifetime experience".
